Each year our staff select a number of worthy causes to become our Nominated Charities for the Year. These charities both national and local become the main focus for our donations and contributions throughout the calendar year. Recent Charities we have supported include -

Help A Child Appeal
The Radio Forth Help A Child Appeal is now approaching its 20th anniversary and since its inception has raised over £1.75 million for special children across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. Every November the Help A Child Appeal Charity Auction is broadcast on 97.3 Forth One and 1548 Forth 2, and in November 2005 the event raised a staggering £87,000.

George Watson’s Family Foundation
The George Watson's Family Foundation (GWFF) was established as a registered charity in 1997 and exists to enable children from less advantaged backgrounds to enjoy the scope of education available to those more fortunate.  It seeks to raise funds to support bursaries and scholarships and to help to finance the ongoing building programme required to reinforce Watson's pre-eminent position as one of the UK's great schools. The Foundation's major fundraising event of the year, the Caritas Dinner in the eight years to November 2005 had raised £212,864.
